Lots of no-fill. Of the two albums only one was actually worth listening to. Great packaging, and the records looked spiffy. Unfortunately poor pressing made this edition a lousy choice. Maybe I just was unlucky. YMMV.

Nektar is probably the most German-like of the Seventies British bands, a fame that owes a lot to the town in which this band was founded Hamburg and to their stylistic approach Assimilated to Krautrock. Nektar was formed in 1969 by Allan Freeman keyboards & vocals, Roye Albrighton guitars & vocals, Derek More bass, Mellotron & vocals and Ron Howden drums. Their earliest albums were hard rock that drew heavily from the space-rock and Pink Floyd styles of the same period. The 70s gave them the occasion to issue some masterpieces, like for example A Tab read more. A Tab in the Ocean mirrors Nektar's first album, but only to a certain degree. While their sound still basks in lengthy keyboard passages and fantastic lyrics, the psychedelia is traded in for a more directional and established approach, with longer tracks and a tighter progressive structure. There's an obvious cohesiveness between the guitar and keyboard tandem, with an attempt at shaping a concept through the album's five tracks. Both the title track and the 19 minutes of King of Twilight are Tab in the Ocean's best examples of Nektar's maturing process,. Have a free moment Play jigsaw puzzles for free Home.
